Stoeger is hit or miss on the barrel regulation. The price makes it worth the gamble but there's a pretty good chance the gun will have to go through that difficult process of exchanging guns until you get one that comes close enough. Eventually (maybe the first time), you'll get a great shooting o/u for 1/2 of what others cost.
Other than regulation issues, a problem they've had in recent years was the firing pins breaking. I don't know if they cleared that issue up or not.
Fit/finish are normally very good and I like the way Stoegers point.
The cheapest places in St. Louis will be Cabelas, Bass Pro, or ****s. I imagine one of them will have one in stock (****s seems to carry a lot of stoegers)
