She told me she wanted to hunt this year and like usual the season snuck up on us too quick and we weren't as prepared as we wanted to be. However, after spending the morning putting the finishing touches on her shooting we spent the afternoon in the stand for the first time as a hunter. We had good action the last hour or so of shooting light and she passed on a couple of does when this buck came by trailing a doe with about 5 minutes left. I grunted at him not expecting much and he came straight to us. Actually came too close. She pulled the trigger at 12 feet. 60 yard recovery with a red highway the entire way. I'm still in shock and so proud of what she's capable of. She has definitely out done me by the age of 11. Looking forward to future hunts more than ever.
