15 acres of corn in the ground before rain this week. Ducks should love it this winter.

A little downtime then we just have to spray weeds and then pump water on it.

Good luck. I wouldn’t sweat the weeds to much if your going to flood it for the critters. Hate to see 300 bushel/acre corn go to the birds!!!!!!

well our best field that was freshly planted with corn is 3ft under water right now. If river gets over 30ft we lose the other field, according to the river gauge its at 29.4ft right now.

this is only the beginning. Dropping the pump into the river is the real pain in the ***.

I meant to update this, we ended up getting a second planting in after first flood.

pumped it this last weekend. Snow tomorrow outta bring some birds south.
