AAE makes trad vanes now. Those look like feathers and even more important the are hitting what he wantsThose are feathers....right...and not vanes?
When you say "trad vanes" you mean they are making plastic vanes made to look and shoot like feathers??AAE makes trad vanes now. Those look like feathers and even more important the are hitting what he wants

The reason I question them is that they looked to be vanes in the photo even when I zoomed in. By the way....nice shooting for the first of the season.Feathers, orange and white are Gateway and the chartreuse are Trueflight. I like the Trueflight better
Nice selfie!
I've shot both Paul and plastic vanes shoot way different that feathers do when shot with a traditional bow. Plastic vanes bounce off the shelf when released but feathers collapse when shot through the same shelf. Vanes do correct themselves through flight but are loud when shot plus lose a bit of speed.I dont see why in the world it matters as long as the arrows are hitting where he is aiming.
I thought the archers paradox cleared everything when properly spined arrows are shotI've shot both Paul and plastic vanes shoot way different that feathers do when shot with a traditional bow. Again, if the arrows are hitting where you want I dont see the issue.I've shot both Paul and plastic vanes shoot way different that feathers do when shot with a traditional bow. It's got a lot to do with noise of the arrow and less speed when the arrow is released.Again, if the arrows are hitting where you want I dont see the issue.
You know how loud his bow is?It's got a lot to do with noise of the arrow and less speed when the arrow is released.
Can you zoom in and circle them in red so I can see them better? The reason I question them is that they looked to be vanes in the photo even when I zoomed in. By the way....nice shooting for the first of the season.
