Is there much differnece between the 2 as far as bullet make up?

I don't know a thing about all that " make up" stuff, I do know the SST's have a greater drop out to 200 yards then the shockwaves using a 250g bullet and 100g of pryodex. I couldn't get he SST's to group for me, all I use now are shockwaves

I thought they were just 2 slightly different modifications of the hornady pistol bullets. Thats what they look like anyway.

sure does, they just polished her up and added the polymer tip.

I just read alot of buzz about em vs the shockwaves. But don't see much difference.

man how did i miss this post, yellow tip shockwave non bonded, i had problems with em 4-5 yrs ago, i haven't gone back to em, i hit 2 deer in 2 days 1 dink buck and 1 dandy i recovered the dink and not the dandy, when i cut the smaller buck up i realized why i tracked him 200yds and stuck another slug in him, the slugs actually fragmented on impact, i switched BACK to my XTP's and im still shooting those with zero hit deer getting away from me
