Anybody ever make jerky out of squirrel? If so can you post up your recipe?

I just made a batch of beef jerky on my Traeger grill and am in a jerky making mode now. Thought squirrel might be interesting to try. May be tough to get strips worth working with though.

If you can make it out of a goose, you can make it out of anything. :D

Give it a try and send me some in the mail. :claphands:

You could grind it and then make some snack sticks.

THats funny I was thinking the same thing last night. I havn't been squirrel hunting in years. Was thinking of anther way to cook them and thought about jerky. If I get out and get some squirrels I may give it a try.

I really enjoy it fried as as little meat as they yield, I wouldnt want it any other way.

I got lots of jerky in storage. I made mine outta deers. :D

If I get to kill a duck this season, I'm thinking about making some sausage out of it. :D

I had duck with sliced apples wrapped in foil and baked. When it was done we ate the apples and threw out the duck. Pretty tasty. :claphands:

I've eaten ducks a few times... way more often than not its very good.

I like to kid the duckers about eating shoe leather but I'll have to admit, some of it eats real good.

you won't have to practice much. If you can't run away from me you need to retire to the rocking chair on the porch. I'm not built for speed. :claphands:
