Getting the boat ready for next Friday, going to be a cold one on loz. Who’s all snagging on opening weekend and where do you think the fish are going to be w/ these cold water temps. Last year we were sticking them in 20-30 ft water over mud flats on opening. What’s your thoughts, are they going to be deep or shallow?

You'll have plenty of resident fish hanging out near every hole on the Osage arm. Never know where they are hanging out till I get there. I always start out working the channel edges, but some days they are in the center of the channel and on the flats on others. Just have to figure it out when we get there.

We usually go to Tablerock for opening day, but I don't think we are going to make that happen this year. Thinking about just hitting Bagnell for some of those smaller eaters. If we do end up on LoZ, we'll be somewhere between the 50-66mm.
I’ll be down there. I’d say anywhere above hurricane deck bridge up into the 50’s-60’s. It’s cold.
My Inlaws go to Rosco I like Taberville.

oneshot

:D the Big Grin can eat Spoonbill, no Bones.
Oneshot I gotta place close to Taberville...crazy to see all those rigs linkng the road and all the boats. Maybe I should rent out lodging for folks!

Isn't Osage arm on Truman Lake, not LOZ? Or am I thinking about something else?
Both of them have Osage arms..

I saw the other day that Truman dam has some structural issues.

Truman, LoZ and the lower Osage below Bagnell Dam are all part of the Osage River system and people use the term "Osage River" to refer to any of them. I was referring to the upper Osage arm of LoZ since the OP mentioned LoZ in his post. When I refer to the Osage River below Bagnell, I typically call it the lower Osage. I'm never on Truman, but see people say Osage River in reference to the upper part of Truman frequently.

Clear as mud? :D
