Loggers were just here,looked over what I had,offerd me a fair price.Like they said the only thing bringing any money is RR Ties.

I'll get the Logs out,cut the Tops up for Firewood,burn the Underbrush.Let it grow back up have Browse for the Deer and Green for Turkeys.

My buddy is a logger and sells his logs here in Central MO and says that white oak is bringing a really good price right now.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of board foot rate did you get per species/quality?

Make sure he will repair the ruts and take care not to damage the trees that are left... Also, how small will he cut?? If timbered correctly, you can
pull a check off the timber every 10 -15 years or so and you will improve your timber for all sorts of game...
