with the stick and string. I know I am, even though it's hard hunting after the orange army has invaded. I did find some fresh sign yesterday and plan to hand a stand this evening to hunt the area Wednesday morning.

I might have an opportunity to bow hunt where my daughter's boyfriend, Squid Hunter, has permission to hunt. There are some dandy bucks out there and not much hunting pressure.:claphands:

Headed out in the morning, may be a scouting mission as much as anything because there was a lot of action on our place during rifle season. 6 bucks killed, lots of tromping around. I'm going to sit a stand until 9, then I'm putting three trailcams in spots that hopefully will tell me what's going on out there with deer movement.

Sometimes you gotta keep peace in the valley. That is what I used most of rifle season for. So now its back at it.:trophy:

That doesn't stop the orange army from driving the deer off their "normal" behavior patterns etc. Whatever weapon a person holds isn't the issue, massive hunting pressure for the first 7 or so says is (especially where my lease is located).
I know I for one am happy to see the end of the gun season and hoping the doe season goes by quickly. The peace n quiet of bow hunting is very welcome here.:02:
