I went snow goose hunting this weekeen and had an absolute blast. Now I am hooked and can't wait to do it again next year. We went to Mound City Mo which is north of Kansas City.

My question is, are there any guides to hunt with that are closer to St. Louis??? Mound City was about a 6 hour drive from St. Louis so I'd like to find a place closer to home.

I know that there are snow geese in southern IL near Rend Lake. I saw a ton of them while deer hunting in early January.

Don't know about guides or where to go though.

i don't know about guides, but around here all you have to do is find the geese and ask the farmer, for the last three weeks it has been nothing but snows, and nobody wants several thousand geese sitting in their wheat.:sniper:

I think you can get in some snow shooting down by the bootheel. I hunted at Otter Slough in early december and there were 45000 snows on the area at the time...
