Snake Identification

Snake Reptile Serpent Scaled reptile Terrestrial animal


I'm out of town and my wife sends me this picture from inside our sunroom.
I'm thinking prairie king snake, she said it looks like a fox snake.
What do you think?

Could be either ...looks like a Fox snake ...What part of the state ?
Im thinking Plains Rat snake or juve rat snake
Looks like a dead snake to me.

Looks alive in the pic to me.
I stand corrected....On my phone it looked like its head was mangled a bit but I now can see it us just looking around trying to spot that hoe that is coming towards its head right after the photo was taken.

We found skins from 3 what we believe are rat snakes in the back yard this last week... grandson took them to school...
Definitely a baby black rat. Great asset for any property.
