It was today at the Litton Center.
After a couple hour talk everyone went to look at their blinds.
Savannah didnt draw the blind she was wanting...BUT the one she got is just East of #2.And the sign was very impressive.
They were cutting the corn while we were there...Savannah's blind is in a cornfield that had mowed lanes through...I'd rather had that than the cut corn.
I had to get a few kids really riled up telling them about the disabled hunt stories...Then telling the kids that had our's and Longbranch's blinds last year them stories.
At about 1:00 everyone met at the makeshift range to qualify.
They have to shoot 3 shots in a 6 inch circle at 50 yards...
Sounds easy but the were a few kids that seemed a little intimdated with all the people around them, waiting and watching.
By the shooting we saw while there, they have chosen some real good sharp shooters for the job of population control.
Just after the meeting I had a guy come up to me and he had noticed my MWT can ****** and Buck was there sporting the orange VECtor hat...
It was member bucksnguns with his son.Great to meet you two btw.
A BIG THANKS TO MDC,CLAY COUNTY PARKS AND CORP OF ENGINEERS FOR HAVING THIS HUNT!!!!
Here's a few pics from the range.

Here's Savannah waiting for the clear whistle to retrieve her target. There on the table is that oblong, triangle deal,it's made by hornady and it's a shooting rest. And imo it's the beezneez!

Happy Savannah with Dave Wyatt.

One more thing I found out...This will be David Wyatt's last managed hunt. After 22 years with MDC he is retiring.
I don't know how long he's held the position he's in now...But that man has changed alot of kid's lives in the Kansas City area.
THANKS FOR EVERYTHING DAVID!!!
