Yes, they're part of furbearer season. I don't know how much their pelts bring though. I'd love to shoot one and have it mounted.

Dang, never knew there was a season for them.. well i knew the furbearers season, but i guess i never really thought about skunks being trapped.. we gots TONS of them around here.. stinky things!

I think most skunks are incidental catches. Actually they bring pretty good money if your willing to collect the essence,goes for around 10 bucks an ounce,theres also the taxidermy market for the carcass.

therein lies the problem mike... not allowed by house law to collect the essence:rotfl:

besides i dunno if there's enough quick lime in the world for me to skin out one them critters, they just plain stink, even if they don't spray!

if you toss them in a bucket with baking soda and water and let em soak for day they arent to bad.
