I'd bet on a bobcat, the eyes face forwards, and the skull is too blunt for a canine.

I found one exactly like it last year, while shed hunting. It's a possum skull.

I went for a stroll on my property today too, and I found another one in the making. I couldn't tell what killed it, or what was snacking on it, because I didn't get real close. It's a fresh kill for sure, though ~ P-U!
