I sighted in the new Marlin 917V that my wife got for me today. It has a Bushnel 3x9x30mm scope on it and I sighted it in with CCI 17grain hollow points. At 100 yards it is a tack driver. I hope to see a coyote tomorrow morning on my drive so I can try it out. Good luck and God Bless. Norm

Seen alot of Yotes out latly all way more than 100 yrds out tho. I like 17's but unless it flops you may never know you hit it at 200 +- it doesnt pack very much energy and the yote will run away with a hole in it.

I have a Marlin also. The only thing that I have taken so far is a few squirrels. I have yet to see a coyote to see what the little .17 HMR will do to it.

GOT ONE SITTING AT HOME I HAVEN'T SHOT YET. it's killing me. :mad2: i will get it out this weekend and put a few through it but i don't have "The Scope" for it yet so a good old fashion 3x9 is just gonna have to do.
