I just got off the phone with my freind. He said i can have some of his 209 primers. He baught like 10000 of them prolly 20 years ago when he usto reload shotgun shells. He not know how menny he has left but 2 life time suply as he put it. Im going to pick up 1000 on Tuesday.

My question is,, they been kept in a room that is relaticly constant temp humidity free. Will I get some that not work posible with some of them being 20 years old?

Should work just fine, snap a couple off in the garage to make sure and then you should be good to go! Nice find!

I'd say as long as they were kept dry and there is no visible rust on them they should be just fine.

should be fine as long as they was properly stored, snap a couple before you load the gun, and make sure they go pop, aim the barrel at a leaf keeping the end of the barrel 1ft from the leaf, and snap another cap, see if the leaf moves, if it does, theres plenty off hot gases
