no need to waste...does anyone know an easy way to touch up blades? I know they make sharpeners for them but are there any other 'home remedies'??

I use a ceramic sharpener. I don't use dull blades and I like to get the full use out of my things. My ceramic is 4" wide, 3" tall and 12" long. I got it from the brick plant in Mexico, Mo from one of the foremen there.
