Just for kicks I looked up Whitetail Research Cover and it is $42.98 for 4 lbs,

Imperial Whitetail Clover contains the only clover genetically designed for whitetail deer. Imperial Whitetail Clover has an extremely high protein content – critical for antler, muscle and bone growth and thrives in extreme cold as well as warm, dry climates.

  • Packed with antler-building protein
  • Helps does deliver heavier, healthier fawns and produce more milk
there ya go
But the main thing.....does it have a photo of a big buck on the bag?

The seed in buck on the bag is nothing magic. Can be purchased in small quantity's on line but is still more expensive than what I buy at COOP. I also have seen it out perform standard Ladinos. Buck on the bag is a convenience thing and been told also true about brassicas mixes. For years been wanting to try some of the high end brassicas seed and might try this August. If that's the case will have no rain till Oct, your welcome.
I don’t know that he bought that kind of thing tho it’s certainly possible. Knowing him he probably bought the cheapest bag of whatever he could find and threw it out. The comparison results were pretty hard to argue with tho. Honestly I think it’s more about crappy seed I was buying versus vastly superior seed he was buying. Regardless I’m gonna try some. Appreciate the no rain report. At least if I know the tap is gonna be off I can plan accordingly. That’s a huge plus

Try Pricing Buckwheat..... Wowzers!

We decided to go a different direction on plots this spring.

Missouri Southern Seed is one of if not THE provider for most of your Co-op’s / MFA extensions. The price on clovers were noticeably cheaper purchasing straight from Southern.
