Wow it is such a great feeling being able to harvest a buck
from my own land . I never ever would have dreamed I would
be able to do this even once and now on my second year so
happy! I am thinking around 130 what do you think ?
I wont be able to measure it till I get it back from the taxidermy.

    Thank you in advance ! 23376273_10210914586845074_2707896542317043911_n.jpg IMG_4523.JPG IMG_4527.JPG

Killed my first good buck on my own land this year. Makes getting up and going to work every day worth it. Congrats on a great deer!

I wonder what this buck coulda been if I had waited another year. The base mass of the horns is pretty big for an 8 pointer in southern Mo. I think. Taxidermy guy thought it was 4 or 5 years.

If you are mounting it I wouldn't worry at all what he would have been or what he scores. Congrats on a great deer

If he was 4 or 5 you did right to harvest him. His mass looks really good for a southern deer. HE WAS NOT SHOWING ANY SIGN OF MORE TO COME, I THINK HE IS A GREAT BUCK.

Congrats on your awesome buck. I have only shot one at my house and it was the first time I deer hunted it and it was a quick hunt after work. Didn't even sit down before this buck came out in the field and I grunted and can called it onto my property and then shot it.

Beautiful buck. Congrats on harvesting organic meat from your own property to feed your family. Just sounds right!
