When I was a lot younger I used to do this all the time, I'm not sure if I am lazy or smarter but since I quit playing with the turks before season I find it easier to play during season. These days my scouting trips are over before the birds fly down, I listen to hear gobbles in the tree then leave and figure if I can hear some they are there and can be kilt.I took the kids scouting today too. They were scratching around and scared up a gobble. I happened to have a mouth call with me and i called him in to about 40 yards or so. The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever.
