Do all fish move in schools? Or is it just feeding and spawning?

Is the Big Grin stupid she never went to school but gets fed every day and is warm and dry.
What I was wondering is if I’m Bait Fishing for Catfish and catch one should I try to have all my Bait in that area?
Bass I see them chasing Shad I throw a Spinner seems I limit out fast.
Once I figure out Trout or Crappie that is where they are.
