Hunted opening weekend in N. MO & saw several bucks chasing does. Back home in SW MO saw several small bucks & no chasing, all season long. I seen a doe that was killed middle of rifle season that still had milk? Still finding a few fresh scrapes & have seen several does that still had yearlings in tow? This doesn't add up, even for a late or second rut. Anyone seeing the same?

Ive noticed adult does getting back with fawns I watched alone all November. Thats probably what your seeing also.

That's kinda my point, it's like the rut hasn't started here. I'm seeing all the signs you'd normally see in pre-rut. Just trying to figure it out, it has been a strange season.

Strange season indeed. I haven't seem much signs of the rut either. Others claim to have seen a lot.:shrug::shrug:
I can't get a feel for it either. I'm hopin' it gets cold and snows. Maybe that will put them on the move.:whiteflag:

some have seen it but alot of the guys around here were feeling like I was that only the little bucks were doing a bit of chasing....all were excited to get out with their bow here soon because they think it will pick up. lets hope!
