Thanks, I thought so, too! It's my nephew's rig and he's only selling it because he wants to try something different in a different caliber. You know, the "latest and greatest" as opposed to an old standby, the .270!
That’s a really good deal, good luck on the sale
That’s a nice deal!
@callaojoe everyone can use another .270 especially for this price

What is considered stl area? I am needing a 270. I am in Troy MO
Right now he only wants to sell the package.
Gun is located in High Ridge, MO
Is this the older tang safety and any idea what kind of groups it can do?

lo, it can probably shoot better than you can given the right ammunition.

Groups and Deer hunting an almost laughable topic iMO ..its a cold barrel 1 shot proposition.. if it hits where you want with your first shot its as it should be

Older M77's are known to have some issues with getting a decent groups, as in not even good enough for deer hunting, and it's not a baseless reputation either.
It does have the tang safety. I’m sure it’s not bench rest quality accuracy but he’s killed a number of deer with it here in Missouri so it’s accurate enough for that.
Joe, I will check with my nephew about the possibility of meeting in Washington. How about you send me a message with your phone number so he could contact you directly if that helps, and remove me from the process?

Front action screw tightness issues. My gf has one in .308 that shoots great but she doesn't have the loosening action issues

I'd give 150 for the scope
I'll give $200 for the rifle.

Edit - Assuming we can get a Pony Express to my house somehow.
