Are we allowed to carry a rifle and a pistol during the rifle season? I have a 44 mag I would like to carry along during hunts. Maybe even use it.:dancin: I can not find the info I am looking for on the MDC website.

I will use the rifle for longer shots, say 50 yds or more. But would like to use the 44 for for the closer shots if I get the chance.

The rules as I understand them are any firearm with centerfire ammunition firing a single projectile.

This past season I came in contact with a consevation agent while deer hunting with my rifle. I had a 9mm holstered on my belt and he did not say a word about it..

I carry a 454 for any close range shots which I have not gotten yet and my 30-30 for long range shots. This year, I plan on carrying my ruger valquero in 45lc for a side arm. Probably still wont get a close shot opportunity but oh well.

Definately yes. While carrying the rifle, you can even have a concealed handgun without a permit. That's only while carrying the rifle, so don't get mixed up on that one. (You should have a CCW permit anyway). :D
