Reel identification

I picked this reel up at a yard sale and have been trying to figure out who made it. It seems very well made and I am guessing it is from the 60's-70's. Google is of little help. Any ideas?

Yeah, I saw that one a couple of days ago. I am just curious about who may have made it and when. Thanks for your help.

The name of of the company was Compac and they were made in Japan. That's all I can tell you.

Thanks Mark. I think finding out more than you laid out is a dead end. Lots of Japanese reel manufacturers made reels and labeled them different from their own name. I have read but can't verify St Croix marketed Compac reels, but who knows for sure.
