Yep heres the magical story....
Woke up at 5:45 and got dressed then did the same for jr reb. Loaded up jeep, left, stopped by caseys and got dr pepper and donut and drove to said hunting spot. it was raining so didnt leave very early.
Pulled up and pouring rain so sat in the jeep. got out to pay a bill and saw 4 deer running about 500 yards away...
Grabbed rifle and told jr reb lets go for a walk.
Walked a ways, saw the 4 deer bout 350 yards away. Then looked over to the left and saw a lil deer which after ranging it was 167 yards. Pulled up on it, said vio con dios let the .308 from the savage 99 fly and saw an explosion of water so new it was a good hit. took jr reb over and yep it was dead.
