    2018 RAVINS!!!!
OK, got the go ahead to post this...we are updating our website and will have all the info up there shortly but this will get the conversation started!!

New stock - 2 inches shorter – fits the eye and hand better. The finger reminder flanges are larger, come back further and are vented for a very cool look! The forearm underneath is slightly larger with a shallow groove down both sides to allow a much more comfortable place for the shooter’s support hand. this is a much more natural feeling and comfortable forearm.
New safety switch (it is beefier) The new safety is a lever that clicks audibly to ‘safe’ but is silent when going to ‘fire’. It is very easy to manipulate, answering some concerns/questions by Ravin users.
400 feet per second. Please note this! The new Ravin is 2” SHORTER but is rated at 10 fps FASTER!

430 feet per second. The R20 (as well as the R10) will, like last year always shoot faster than the rated velocity.
New safety See notes above on the safety lever. This is a very nice improvement
Stock same length as old bows. the stock modifications mentioned above will carry over to the R20 but the overall length will not decrease like the R10 did.

    R20 Sniper
Comes with a Vortex scope and a backplate with a dial that moves the stop and can be dialed to 200 yards. This is one sexy set up with a dial indicator that can be bottomed out at 20 yds then one full revolution of the wheel against the next stop will be 100 yds. The stop can be removed, and the wheel will dial in enough elevation to be sighted in at up to 200 yds! Not sure what Vortex scope will be used with this package but it’s an excellent choice considering the hype around that brand.

Both bows will be available in a gun metal grey finish or Predator camo for an upcharge

Lighted knocks will be available at ATA. They will be sold as a complete package, lighted knock and bolt. Replacement lighted knocks will be available but will only work with the bolts from the Lighted knock package, they won’t work with any other Ravin bolts. FINALLY! The most asked for accessory all year for Ravin. As noted, these come as ARROWS only, not as retrofit items for previously purchased arrows. I believe these are OEM from Clean-Shot so we will be familiar with the function. They DO NOT have a practice setting.

    I believe R20 is about 2 grand
    The sniper is 2600:eek:

The R10 was about 1500 but they made some changes to it and haven't seen a price on it.

Wow. They’re pretty proud of them. Be interesting to see if they fixed the issue with people getting fingers chopped off. User error could account for some of those issues though.

yeah I was ready to pull the trigger on the 10 till that came out, thinkin I will wait a bit now, I do like the new finish, and shortened the some and they have come lighted knocks to. I would really like the sniper but I am way to tight for that lol

    We are neighbors
If I read the release correctly the r10 will be the shorter model compared the the current r9 and r15

The r20 will be similar size

    $2600 for a crossbow?

Waiting to see what Mission comes out with, I was told my proshop should know by mid January..... If it's nothing uber cool, probably gonna still go with a Sub1.

Now just need to figure out how to attach my gopro to it, and then lay down the carnage next fall. May as well kill them all, before MDC does. :D

Rumor has it that they have changed the trigger assembly to fix the self firing problem. that's great but what about all the previous owners of r9 and 15's with time bombs. The other thing is even the lighted arrows are proprietary and they wont be selling nocks to up grade previously sold arrows. So in order to get an arrow with a lighted nock you have to buy all new. I think 10point would be the direction I'd be looking to go, if I wanted an extra narrow bow.

$2600 for a weapon that won't hold its value is the definition of insanity. I might buy 2.............

Ok with my Bow I can kill several Deer with one Arrow but it is slower. I'm thinking with a faster bow the arrows won't hold up.

:D The Big Grin is cheap as oneshot.

not going to hijack, but I agree that 200 yards verbiage is irresponsible. That is one compact fast shooting xgun. they didn't provide the weight that I could tell?

My understanding is, if you own one.... Big bucks just crawl into your freezer and die for you. :wave1:

Can't imagine paying those kind of prices. Wow. They must figure a lot of people bought Bitcoin early and can afford them.

As long as you have the ability to get them within 200 yards ;)
