Hey there everybody. I am new to this forum and fairly new to bow hunting. This year I finally picked up a spot to hunt near where I live. My question is up until 1 1/2 weeks prior to rifle season I was seeing a lot of activity, mostly bucks. They weren't nose down chasing does most were by themselves. I have not seen anything in 2 weeks now. Are they in the rut and if so are they rutting at night perhaps because of the weather. I am near the Joplin Missouri area. Thanks for any help

prob in lock down mode with their does. from what I have read each mature buck mates with around 8 does and has them on lock down for up to two days each.
