not being a smart alec, but some of those old systems might be worth a something in 30 years,with all original box,manual etc....,ya never know.
I had an old atari with frogger and a bunch of games I just pitched in the trash 10 years ago.Would have been cool to seal it up and put in the attic for the grandkids to find once my body was cold.

I think the mario games were the only ones we ever won/finished!Had some good times with the wife once the kids went to school...crap..where did the time go?Just had to stay 10 feet away when it was her turn,arms,legs,and everything else went flying when she had to "jump"

30 years? look at what they are going for on ebay!

I sold an original Atari that was in the unopened box for 305.00 on ebay last year. Picked it up at a garage sale for $5.00

Used systems that are in excellent condition are worth some bucks. Very used systems that don't work all the time, not so much.

Also, sealed nintendo games are worth serious $$$$$ depending on the title.

I am getting ready to list a sealed copy of Super Mario Bros 3 that I plan on going for around 4-450.00
