I can only assume that it is the number of turkeys you can kill with the
rear sight positioned in each of those gaps. :peepwall:

Standard rail for a forearm tube system to keep track of mounting locations of tactical lights, sights, etc., if not then someone please correct me. Also, I believe T is for top, R is for right, L is for left.

That is pretty much it if you check some of the gagdets you can put on it they will say for instance T1-T6 meaning that is where it will fit.
