What primers are best for average reloader? I load 223 and 7-08? I read some have harder cups, loose fit, ...... What gives the best overall results. Are all of them equal with no major differences?
I prefer CCI for metalic cartridges. If you stick with one of the four major brands, CCI, Federal, Remington, Winchester, you can expect reasonable results.
For economy I use Noble Sport primers for my clay target shotshells. Heavy loads for turkey and waterfowl, I buy off the shelf.
[rquote=1586195&tid=109526&author=Ellis Prairie]Kinda like Fords & Chevys some swear by one some swear by the other.
With that said I've used mostly Federals over the years.[/rquote]
Same here.
i'm equal oppertunity. mostly use winchester large and remington small but have a ton fo what i could pick up now honestly, havn't seen a big varience in performance between the big name primers.
