Primers

Does anyone have any experience with Unis Ginex primers? I found some available but you have to buy 5000. I would like to know a bit more about them before buying that many.

They are somewhat available currently. I have not shot any but hear thru my contacts that they do function well and accuracy is not an issue. The only comments that stand out is that some say they are harder to insert I to the primer pocket than some people are used to with American made primer brands. I

I know some people who are trying them in their pistols, seem to say they work well enough, but are harder to seat in their pistol cases. They have few misfires or "duds", but they do find the added seating pressures needed an aggravation. I do NOT know what kind of tools they're using to seat the primers, so I can't say much about them other than that. I don't even know what ammo they were loading, but they seemed to think they were okay enough to use.
I am willing to try them myself, if I can find them at a favorable price. I'm currently using Remington 7.5s in my .38 Super cases, instead of WSPs, I'm using a milder charge than I normally use. So far, I've noted no issues. I had a couple thousand 7.5s taking up space, so I decided to use them. I don't recommend it as an everyday thing. And I've been doing this stuff for 50 years now.

If they "work just fine", how is it that you call them "junk"? Price is a factor for everything, but they're $20/1000 cheaper than anyone else's primers right now. EVERYONE's primers are a lot higher than we're used to paying for right now. Deal with it.

I DID have to change out tiitanium firing pins for steel firing pins in some pistols, but they've been working great, with decent accuracy, in eight pistols I own. Yes, they're harder than any other primer I've ever used, but they have shown themselves to be very reliable. I bought 5000 of them, and getting ready to buy 5000 more. They work, and they aren't "junk" by any standard an objective person can apply.
Bosnia and the surrounding countries always seem to be at war with someone in their neighborhood, they know how to make ammo that works. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to kill each other in wholesale numbers like they've done for centuries.

Meh.... he's an idiot. It's not worth the time to converse with him.
