Opening day total for 2014 was 5900. We ended up killing @43k birds. Opening day 2015 we killed 6700 and ended up at @44k. I see no where that we killed 10k opening day unless you are referencing peak year that we all know were unrealistic representations of Missouris long term turkey flock.Excluding last year when it was snowing and 25 degrees opening day, kill is from 1000-5000 less than last 15 years opening day. And perfect weather this year. Total (excluding last year) for regular spring season is 5.5-7x opening day total.
You've got 3 weeks to kill them with a bow fella.Mo needs a archery season for 2 weeks prior to the shotgun opener

You can kill them whenever you want to with a bow, bows are quiet. You just can't post the pics until gun season starts.I need more

be nice if it was like MS regulation, no jakes! Jakes are only legal during MS youth season.Another interesting factoid....
Last year as of FRIDAY at 830 am we had killed 862 jakes. This years of of right now, 930 am on TUESDAY we have killed 1100 jakes.
Why not?3 weeks in the spring and 4 months in the fall to archery hunt them. Don't need an effing spring archery season for two weeks prior to the shotgun season.
15 year was the unsustainable peak.15 years ago, not 4.
Why not?
