You dont seem to be able to read.... coyotes had almost a century in Yellowstone WITHOUT wolves. The last wolves were killed in 1926, they were reintroduced in 1995. Thats 70 years WITH NO WOLVES. They only got to a density of 3 per sq mile.... why? According to henry they shoukd have exploded and covered the park.... but thwy reached a density that is likely less than we have in MO with trapping and hubting and basically stayed there.... why?? Btw, that density in MO would be 210,000 coyotes. No one said all of them were skinned. The estimates for yearly kill in the US was 500k. Thats from several sources and is including the ones left in the field. I dont have any idea if its accurate or not, but given how few trappers there are, and how few coyote hunters there are, it may not be far off. Killing coyotes wont help your deer or turkey unless you kill them in May and June when nesting and fawning are happening. Samw with raccoon removal... but thats illegal in MO.
