load shooting Sierra spitzer boat tail out of a AR-15 chambered in .223.
Edit: 55 grain bullet
What weight bullet? That's kinda important, for meaningful, helpful hints.
Sorry I thought I put that I am thinking 55 grain
blc2 or my favorite lil gun powder is rl-10x
Benchmark or H-322 work great
Okey dokey, that helps a bunch:claphands: H-335, 748, Benchmark, Reloader 10 should be good, H-4895 or IMR-4895, 2230, 2520, TAC, and probably others will work.
Reloader 15 and Varget will work, too, but I think they work better with the heavier bullets (69s and 75s)
FWIW. in .223. I generally try 25.0 H-335 and a 55 VMax, if it doesn't shoot that well, something's wrong with the gun. I normally load that in WW cases and use WSR primers. It's "old reliable" for my purposes. I'm seldom disappointed with it, in any event.
i dont know about 223 but the rl10x is the best ive found in 204 with a 39 gr. sierra blitzking
Thank you all for the information on this topic it helped a bunch :2thumbsup:
IMR 8208 XBR is great
