As much as I like the CZs, (the last two rifles I've bought have been 527s), I'd think again about throwing in any 'boot' for the American. Marlins have gone up in value lately, especially the pre-safety models. Even the new Marlins retail for a good deal more than the 452s. If you like the rifle, though, and think you'd be happy, go for it, but I wouldn't toss in any 'boot' unless your gun is pretty beat up(it happens!).

Too much "boot" IMHO.
The 28th edition of "The Gun Trader's Guide" lists the Model 39A like yours:
EX- $788.00
Good- $541.00
Maybe you need to ask for "boot"!

Ok, I missed the "Mountie" designation. Sorry. $319.00-$379.00 is the value. The above value was for the regular 39A. I apoligise.

NICE little Marlin there, Jim! Heck, I'd hang onto it, and save my pennies for the CZ, then you could have both. Mounties aren't around any more, and they are pretty darned nice little guns, as you know.

Glen i realy wamt to hang on to it but i gots a hard-on for a .17 hmr. and my tax return ended up being half of what i expected. we made just a few dollars more then we needed to and it put us into the next "drop-your-soap bracket". i aint ****ten ya, if i hadn't worked a few of those O.T. weekends i'd have an extra 2,500.00 on my return.
