I've been enjoying the post on here for a few months and thought I might join in.

As dry as it is right now in SWMO I was wondering if anyone was hunting water much. I have some without much luck, but keep telling myself to go back because it is so dry.

If its warm and bucks are chasin it is a really good spot. PM is better than am.
At least that's been my experience.

I have been getting a ton of pics from a camera close to a pond. The only problem has been that the wind has been blowing wrong and making it impossible to hunt. Since we havn't had any rain for over a month, it is a very good idea, but you have to pay attention to the wind!!!

Thanks for the welcome. I am from Shannon County.

I have been getting good pond pictures as well, just at night.

I really like to hunt low and near valleys and bottoms but the swirling wind has been pretty tough.

Yeah he has been haunting me for a while. The date is wrong on the cam. I got about 60 pics of him last year in sept and oct. Never met him in person or have any pictures of him this year. Praying he is still around and I get to see him!
I didn't mean to post that picture, I was trying to make it my avatar.lol

man way to make an appearance!!:claphands: but yeah i have been hunting ponds....its a pond that is right inside the edge of my food plot and i have seen a lot of activity...just no mature bucks! the bucks seem to run until they get super dehydrated and i guess they prefer the cold creek they have access too over my pond:mad2::D...if you have time just get in the woods
