It does'nt look like the same clump of trees to me. There are extra trees and trees missing too. Did they get these guys to confess using this photo comparison???

After running both photos thru a data base that I use My educated guess is this is the exact same spot where the original photo was taken-------I'm using their spectrum from the matches on the tree markings that match perfect------they have 10 matches----I have used 7 for testifying in court and 7 was held as an acceptable match--------:cheers:

The tree in question sure looks like the same tree but there are some inconsistencies like Henry said. Could have been that the pic was taken alittle closer or further away so that it would cut off the outer edges of the view. Who knows. Cool stuff though.

If your talking about the tree on the far right---it is just visible in the published photo but it is there---its just not as much of it but the markings do appear to make a determination that they are the same tree------
The 2 trees arrowed in the top photo,,seem like they should be showing in the second pic too. Also the tree marked in the second photo appears to be smaller in diameter even though the pic was taken at a closer distance.
