Can I just use a pencil in my Benelli Super Nova as a plug? And how long should it be? The Super Nova is 3 1/2" capable. I was going to get a plug from Walmart but they don't carry them any more. Would just like some help.

Are you sure the Nova does not have one in it? I'd use a dowel in lieu of a pencil.

When trap shooting I could put 5 (I think) in the magazine. I know it was more than 3.

Your "plug" would be the length of 2 shells. Ive used a stick before, in a pinch. :2thumbsup:

Just wondering because I don't want to put it in and then get a real plug and not get it out. I know that both my grandpa's guns have pencils in them for plugs. Just wonder for a temporay plug if it would work?
