a 50 pound bag of rr corn should plant how many acres? I borrowed a single row planter from the MDC and finally had a chance to get it down today. But when all was said in done (way into the dark with a storm coming) i am not even sure it was dropping corn :( I do not do a whole lot but the bucket didnt even drop! i am afraid i spent all that time and do not have anything down.

2 to 3 acres per bag. It is always a good idea to check a planter or drill before running over much ground,, by setting it down on some hard untilled ground and seeing how many seeds it is dropping. Things break and operator error can cause a guy to replant acres. We normally tie rag or flagging to planter drive shaftes so you can see from the tractor seat that everything is still turning like its supposed to.
