Unless I can find a good deal on a lease for next year I may have to resort to public land - give me a little encouragement here. Let see what was taken from the CAs this year.

[rquote=1491986&tid=104218&author=mohunter32]Here's my pic.

Yep, that's all I saw.[/rquote]

How far away were you when you took that picture?:hysterical::rof2:

I have seen some and the one I took was a little bigger than a house cat. Been slow for sure. Public ground can be very productive but it may take a year of scouting and scouting what the hunting pressure is. Southern MO is a little easier because of the amount of land available to hunt. Good Luck

I hunt mostly public land and while I have nothing to show from it, I did see several does, but none of them ever presented a shot.

I didn't see a single buck this year on public ground.

We usually kill a 150 plus on the Public ground we hunt in IA every year. Last year the Drury prostaff member John Frank was hunting the property that adjoined this public ground. We also hunt approximately 800 acres around the Public ground also, but the public land always seems to hold atleast 1 good one. :cheers:

There are some monsters on public ground, shooting them is a whole different ballgame though. There are so many factors that you cannot control. Can be very frustrating.
