anything at our house that is big is known as daddy sized. for instance a big spoon or a large t shirt, my 2 year old will say that is a big ol daddy sized t shirt.

anyway, we were in the shed today looking over my little buck from wed. evening and I was thinking that he looked pretty small.

I had killed a tiny yearling doe sat and he was thinking about that and he said daddy you killed two deer. one little bitty one and a big ol daddy sized buck.

to him that buck was huge. mad me feel a lot prouder of that deer. if my 2 year old is excited about it then I am to. :D

Pastor, that was your first doe and buck with a bow if I remember right. I also remember just a few short weeks ago you changed your whole shooting form from what you had more or less taught yourself on. My man, you have a bunch to be proud of regardless of the size of the buck. You have accomplished alot in one short season. Keep it up.:2thumbsup:

As far as your little one, there are a whole lot more proud moments ahead to look forward to :claphands:

I have taken my son with me a few times in the past but this year was the first time he was there when I shot a deer. He was bug eyed & so excited when he heard the doe go down. I took him over to where she was standing when I shot and he got to do his first attempt at blood trailing. He was so excited that he forgot about the 9 1/2 hours of boredom that lead up to that point. I think at that moment he understood what it was all about. He is 7 now and has made it very clear that he wants to be the one pulling the trigger next year.
