Any of our tree guys grow pecan trees from seed ? I’m thinking of trying to grow some in my greenhouse . If anyone has trees now I’m interested In buying some nuts thanks !

Maybe 20 or 30
When they start dropping I will try and remember to pick some up for ya.

Is it best to start from seeds or saplings? I have no idea.

Pecans, like walnuts and hickories, truly have a tap root.
If you buy seedlings, they come as whips... roots a foot long, with a top about 4 or 5 inches.
Much easier to start them where you want them... my opinion only.

Good question MM . My view is why pay a nursery 25 bucks instead if growing my own in a greenhouse.Is it best to start from seeds or saplings? I have no idea.
