Anyone Snag the Osage River below Bagnell Dam?

I had a Guy tell me he never did any good there.Looks good to me.

My one and only snagging adventure was there years ago.

Got nada.... But I was there with a friend that has done very well there in years past.

When I lived in the area I fished behind the dam allot. This was when you get up close. It was some great white bass and crappie fishing. Also good for snagging, Never did try from a boat. When the the water is flowing I would think it would be great. My Dad's largest one was little over 65 pounds.

Happens a bunch. You just never know what ya gonna pull out of there. I have snagged spoonbill crappie fishing. Talk about a short blast of meanness. Even caught a eel once and my wife at the time nearly swore off fishing after that one.....:hysterical:

i have allways heard it was real good
but i have never done any snagging
so dont go on my word
