I expect 1400 posts to this thread ! lol I'm putting a new wood stove that looks like this.... http://www.lennoxhearthproducts.com/products/overview.asp?pid=332 It will be sitting in a corner of my living room. On the walls I'm going to use old barn wood from one of the barns on my property. The barn was built during the civil war and is of post and beam construction with hand hewn beans and. Some of the beams still have bark on them. I'm assuming all the timber came off of what is now my property. When they added on to the barn in 1953 they took the old siding off and it's in a big pile in the barn where I'm assuming it's laid ever since. I want to make this corner look old, going to hang a couple of skins and some old traps on it after its done. Anyway my question is, do you think I need to do anything to the wood before I attach it on the walls ? I want to leave the wood as is as much as possible, complete with cob webs and stains and mud dobber nest...(minus the mud dobbers) So lets have it ???
