Slow one for me. Drove 3 hours had beautiful sunflower plot on mdc ground but the birds must have moved south. 9 birds for our 2 man group

Slow morning on the east side. Haven’t seen a lot of birds in the fields I’ve been scouting. Went because it beats sitting at home. Saw only a few birds flying.

At Talbot CA, my group of 3 limited out by 7:30. It was foggy and I believe that helped a ton. Was a blast!

Appreciate that. I will say this, I do not believe we had as many hunters out today as in past years. I have hunted Talbot for over ten years and this was by far the least. I wonder why?

On my side of the state all the public sunflower fields didn’t get planted due to flooding or got washed out by rain. Where I went is typically packed and there were 4 parties this morning. Heard all of 2 shots fired.

Must have been 200 vehicles on 3 general areas of Fountain Grove this morning. Sounded like a huge firefight for three hours. Craziness.

There is a God. Nobody died.

We shot a few and we missed a few. Over all it was a good opener here.

Opener for us will be in the morning. Been seeing a bunch where we're headed so I'm pretty optimistic. Regardless I'll be geting the kids out of the house for a few hours.

We had a good opener at indian hills. No limits shot, buut not because of lack of opportunity.
I'd guess there were well over a hundred guns in the field, but there was plenty of room to spread out & it didn't feel near as crowded as the vehicles made it appear.

I would assume to say due to news stating steel shot only and a lot didnt want to go buy it.
