I never seen this stud on the hoof, but a buddy had an encounter with him this same season of the photo. I found his next seasons sheds (both sides, BIG), and one of the following year. So if he was 4 in the pic, my buddy killed him the next year at 7.5 yo. He damaged one side so he lost some of the width! we called him Airplane, I have posted him before, so nothing really new here.

My 2 favorites that didn't end up in the back of a truck. The first one got a lot bigger that was a June pic. Got screwed out of my hunting spot 5 days in to season and had guys sneaking in on him anyway. He never got killed. Had a ton of fun watching him and setting up an early season plan. Learned a crap ton about deer that year.

We tried to get this thing shot for 3 or 4 years. Could see him a 1/4 mile away under a neighbor's stand a lot. Lot of hours and good deer that got passed because of this turd.

did that 2nd one end up getting killed? Seems I remember seeing him, maybe a year or so later?

No he made it as far as I know. We were hunting him on 40 acres mostly open. I've got a few years worth of pics of him though.
