Guess I don't understand if you're gonna use an expensive big clumsy looking thing during rifle season why not just use a rifle?
Guess might be OK in the pseudo urban "wildwood" hunting environment.

Well, you choose a method based on the amount of challenge you want. Its harder to kill deer at 50 than it is 250.
