Still several remember the Pieces Shooting Everywhere bows!!!!! I don’t think PSE ever fully recovered over it.

Funny that you mention that - the bow that blew up on me was my first.........and last......PSE!
If you watch closely you will see the trigger pulled and at that moment the arrow doesnt move the string goes and the bow blows. Watch the arrow.
I don’t have FB but I can just imagine what the pic is. Seen it a few times. 2 times they were PSE bows. Other was a High Country. All three were at 3-D shoots or leagues. Only one was a dry fire. Sh1t just breaks on occasion, no matter how much you prepare for it, it still sucks. Injuries happen when they break too. Seen a guys wrist broken on the first PSE blow up. Anything with that much stored energy has the potential to go boom.

I had it happen once. Thought I lost a finger. Bent over with my hand between my legs in pain for 2 minutes, afraid to look at it.....When all was said and done, just a sore hand, no blood, no lost digits.....picked up my stuff and went home.
Was at a 3d shoot about 25 years ago. And this guy that was in our group was getting ready to shoot when his bow exploded at full draw. We had to carry him back to the sign in table broke his jaw in 4 places, crushed his cheek bone lost his left eye and knocked out his front teeth. He was shooting a brand new pse renegade bow and the bow just decinigrated. He was shooting 80 pounds and I forget the let off. He sued pse and got a pretty good settlement from what I understand.

Only personally know of 2 instances of that happening and BOTH were PSE. Not saying it can't happen to any other brand, but sharing the 2 I've seen the results of.

No it wasn't. The lower limb broke at full draw with a arrow installed

The release and arrow fletching are in the exact spot. The bottom photo is before it broke. The top is after. String never moves.

I had a PSE once and it was a decent bow, but growing up we always said Pieces Scattered Everywhere, lol.
Haven’t had it happen yet. Hope it never does. A friend had a bow riser snap in half right at the grip years ago. That was back when they were cast and not machined. He also had a metal cable snap around the same timeframe.

Seen the same happen at the range. Broke along the riser just above the shelf where the over draw was. Believe it was a Pro-Line — point blank model compound. Broke the shooters nose and made for a nice blood trail to the men’s restroom. The shooter was shooting 80 lbs draw.
