I no longer have a farm but was thinking.

Last Fall Acorns dropped all over my yard. I was wondering why a person couldn’t pick up Acorns clear an area off wanting Oaks. Broadcast the Acorns and lightly disk them in, thin when they get bigger.

Back when I was cleaning Seed every year would make a Rye mix called Trophy Rye Deer loved it.

Also found since I burnt off behind the house with all the New Growth I have lots of Rabbits.

Squirrels do all the planting of new oak trees in my yard.

Rabbits eat gardens, well, squirrels eat acorns and gardens. opcorn:

When my neighbors pin oaks drop acorns the following spring more often than not, 50 or more new pin oaks sprout in my yard. So I guess your theory is possible.

Got small Oaks all over my yard this is after I burned it off last Fall.

Have never seen Rabbits like this year. But this is the first time it has been burnt making more food and cover.

Just trying to give ideas but I should know anymore.
